Tempesst have debuted the video for ‘Sunset At Maria’s’, the latest track to emerge from the Australian psych collective. Watch it exclusively below on Rolling Stone UK.

The East London based band have debuted the new offering exactly one month before the arrival of Prisoner of Desire, their anticipated second album.

On ‘Sunset At Maria’s’, the group delves into classic heartland rock as lead singer Toma Banjanin looks back on the joy of holidaying in Greece with his long-term partner.

“This is very much a song where there’s light to counteract the darkness. Sometimes relationships can be a struggle, but there are also many moments of bliss and celebration,” he said.

“The song was written quickly,” he explained, recalling that it captured a moment on a sunny day where there was a wedding procession through the streets. “It was a singular, magical moment and this song is about remembering that we have those, often. It can be easy to forget.”

Their second album, meanwhile, is said to reflect the realities of love in the real world.

“Above all else, we want this album to start an honest conversation about what love is: one that throws away pedestals and unreal expectations” said Toma. “One that shows how demanding, complex, challenging, beautiful and incredible love can be. And why, ultimately, we’re all prisoners of desire.”
