Zayn Malik charged with harassing Gigi Hadid’s mother Yolanda

Zayn Malik has been charged with harassment, a day after the singer denied claims that he hit Yolanda Hadid, the mother of his reportedly now ex-partner, Gigi Hadid.
TMZ reported that Yolanda Hadid alleges she was “struck” by Malik last week. The outlet claims to have been told by “sources with direct knowledge” of the situation.
The outlet has claimed that Gigi and Malik are no longer together, and have been broken up for over a month.
Now, in court documents obtained by DailyMail.com, it has emerged that Malik has been charged with harassment and pleaded no contest after he allegedly pushed Yolanda Hadid into a dresser and called her a “fucking Dutch s**t”.
Malik has been sentenced to 360 days probation, an anger management class and is not allowed to have any contact with Yolanda or a security guard who witnessed the incident.
Malik had previously “adamantly” denied the claims, telling TMZ: “For the sake of my daughter I decline to give any further details and I hope that Yolanda will consider her false allegations and move towards healing these family issues in private.”
On Thursday (October 28), Gigi Hadid’s representatives issued a statement to E! News, stating that her focus is on her and Malik’s 13-month-old daughter: “Gigi is solely focused on the best for Khai. She asks for privacy during the this time.”
In a statement posted on Twitter yesterday (October 28), the former One Direction member said he was a “private person” and wanted to create “a place where private family matters aren’t thrown on the world stage for all to poke and pick apart.”
He mentioned that he had “agreed not to contest claims arising from an argument” he had “with a family member” of Gigi Hadid’s.
The statement continues: “This was and still should be a private matter but it seems for now there is a divisiveness and despite my efforts to restore us to a peaceful family environment that will allow for me to co-parent my daughter in a manner in which she deserves, this has been “leaked” to the press. I am hopeful though for healing for all involved with the harsh words shared and more importantly I remain vigilant to protect Khai and give her the privacy she deserves.”
People has reported that multiple sources have told the outlet that Gigi and Malik have broken up.
According to People, a Hadid family friend said: “They are not together right now. They are both good parents though. They co-parent. Yolanda is of course very protective of Gigi. She wants the best for her daughter and grandchild.”
