Zayn Malik has reassured fans that he is “fine” after a viral video showed the singer’s foot being seemingly run over by a car.

Footage from last Friday (January 19) appeared to show the One Direction singer being run over while swamped in a crowd of fans outside the Kenzo presentation at Paris Fashion Week.

He later confirmed the incident by sharing a picture of his white Kenzo trainers, which were covered in scuff marks as he credited them for protecting his foot from serious damage.

“Thanks for a great show!,” he wrote.

“My foot is fine !! Thanks to my incredibly well made shoes.”

It comes as the enigmatic former One Direction star continues to work on new music, having recently teamed up with Pakistani group AUR to re-record their hit ‘‘Tu Hai Kahan’.

“I was incredibly humbled when AUR reached out and asked me to collaborate on their song ‘Tu Hai Kahan’,” said Zayn. “I love the song and have brought some of myself to it, I hope people love what we’ve done.”

A follow-up to his 2021 album Nobody Is Listening is yet to arrive, but last year saw him share the song ‘Love Like This’, his first release on Island Records, heightening speculation that a new album could be in the offing.
