Radiohead are set to begin a protracted world tour in 2027 of 20 shows per year on a different continent each time, according to Ed O’Brien.

The band made a long-awaited return late last year with four shows in each of five European cities.

According to O’Brien, this was the first of an upcoming series of shows that will see them play residencies across the world, one continent at a time.

“It’s definitely happening,” O’Brien told Rolling Stone of the band’s future touring plans, adding: “What we’re going to do is, every year we’re going to do a different continent, and we’re going to do 20 shows each year. No more, no less.”

He added that the band “won’t do anything this year, but we’ll do something next year,” revealing that the tour will begin in 2027.

Radiohead returned for their first live shows in seven years at the back end of 2025, playing four dates at a number of European cities.

Reviewing the first of the band’s four gigs at London’s O2 in November, Rolling Stone UK said: “Of all the questions following this tour around, only one is comprehensively answered tonight: this is without doubt the greatest songbook of the last 30 years, and its power only continues to grow.”

Following the tour, Thom Yorke shared the band’s pre-gig playlist for the tour. The band didn’t have a support band on the trek, instead welcoming fans into the venues with a playlist of music chosen by Yorke.
