Penske Media Corporation (PMC) and Tasty Media have today announced plans to launch Rolling Stone en Español.

Under a multi-year license, the title will feature original content highlighting the best in Hispanic culture to Spanish-language speakers across Latin America and Spain.

It will provide culturally relevant journalism to passionate Spanish music fans, while also extending Rolling Stone’s global reach to more than 50 million consumers through its online platform and unified print edition.

“We are thrilled to announce the launch of Rolling Stone en Español with our partners at Tasty Media,” said Rolling Stone President and COO, Gus Wenner. “Spain and Latin America have given the world some of the most iconic musicians, festivals, and culturally significant moments, many of which have played a major role in shaping Rolling Stone’s legacy. Today is the beginning of another exciting chapter in our evolution.”

Diego Ortiz, Rolling Stone en Español Editor & Publisher, said: “We are very excited to keep working on the renewal process of Rolling Stone in Latin America and Spain. We believe and live the heritage of one the greatest institutions of journalism of all time. Also, in a new media era, we need to be creative and explore different business capabilities such as digital ecosystems, experiences & concerts, merchandising & branded products, films, and venues.”

“Latin American content and audience are now global, and our mission is to bring the best of arts and Latin pop culture. With a multi-cultural team, we will continue creating the best-curated content, unique experiences, and the best coverage for all the news that fits.”

It follows the launch of Rolling Stone UK , which arrived last month with a trio of cover stars in Bastille, Sam Fender and Lashana Lynch.
