TOMORROW X TOGETHER talk about their new song ‘Love Language’ – “It’s about showing continuous interest”
The K-pop idols also have shared an exclusive image with Rolling Stone UK.

After the success of their romantically-angsty seventh mini-album ‘The Star Chapter: Sanctuary,’ which made it to number 2 on Billboard 200 back in November last year, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, took a well earned rest at the beginning of this year. The K-pop group, that comprises of SOOBIN, YEONJUN, BEOMGYU, TAEHYUN, and HUENINGKAI, are back together in full force and it’s evident that they still have the tumultuous labyrinth that is young love on the mind with their new track ‘Love Language.’ TOMORROW X TOGETHER (or TXT) have sonically changed with the seasons, bringing the faster-paced, afro-beat infused summer track with a mellow-yet-thumping pulse that successful scratches the itch for one of those chilled out songs of the summer.
Their music video, filmed through hazy golden lens at an opulently rustic house in Spain, is akin to sun kissed-films such as ‘Call Me By Your Name’ and ‘Talented Mr Ripley.’ The video has the group performing their new song with well-built harmonies and sleek and silky choreography, including a now-viral ab-flashing moment led by SOOBIN. TXT excel at live performances and the song enables them to showcase this, with happy high-energy and vocals of TAEHYUN, the liquid dreamy movement and energetic hip thrusts from YEONJUN matched with the the pleasingly-considered, softer tones from SOOBIN, BEOMGYU and KAI. It’s a clever balance that is part of the group’s charm, with every member managing to showcase their softer side with more chaotic bursts of energy- often led by MOA’s favourite Tom and Jerry coupling of YEONJUN and BEOMGYU.

Both the song and the music video are indicative of those endless long summers of youth that feel like the most important times of your life. There is a definite air of the youthful exploration of love, full of longing, trying to decipher new feelings, which is indicative of it being co-written by the youngest member of the group (the maknae) HUENINGKAI. The group spoke to us about their latest musical journey, and what their own personal love languages are.
What music genres have you blended for ‘Love Language?’
SOOBIN: ‘Love Language’ is a heartfelt love song infused with a vibrant and upbeat melody of the Afro house genre. I think the uplifting energy perfectly complements the romantic lyrics, which express the desire to understand and connect with the loved one, much like learning a new language.
The track has a mellow, summery sound to it, was that the intention, especially being brought out at the end of springtime?
TAEHYUN: I think the combination of romantic lyrics, our refreshing vocals, and the uplifting characteristic of the Afro house genre create a synergy that truly shines in ‘Love Language,’ making it a perfect song to listen to on a bright, sunny day. Since love is universal, I hope listeners around the world enjoy the refreshing sound of TOMORROW X TOGETHER through ‘Love Language’ this summer!
What is each member’s specific love language?
SOOBIN: It’s the time we share to express our love for one another.
YEONJUN: It’s about speaking from the heart and expressing what truly matters to the other person—whether it’s positive or something tough to hear.
BEOMGYU: I think that true love means never feeling like anything is too precious to give to someone else.
TAEHYUN: It’s all about showing continuous interest.
HUENINGKAI: I think it’s about expressing “I care about you” in the most genuine way that resonates with the other person.
What was the concept for the music video and the choreography?
BEOMGYU: We wanted to visually express the refreshing sound of ‘Love Language’ through the music video and choreography. The dynamic movements and energetic performances are a must-see. I think the standout feature is the incorporation of the ‘love lock’ theme, complete with a playful lock-unlocking gesture. The music video shows our journey to uncover the true meaning of love, and it pairs perfectly with the picturesque scenery of Spain.
Who is quickest to pick up choreography? And who has the most fun, keeps the mood up when rehearsing?
HUENINGKAI: YEONJUN is the quickest to learn new choreography, often picking it up after just one round of practice and making it his own. During rehearsals, we all maintain a lively energy, but BEOMGYU has a talent for lightening the mood with his jokes and adding fun on set.

You are constantly experimenting with genres, are there any music genres that you have not explored yet that you would like to?
YEONJUN: We have explored various genres so far, and I love how versatile TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s discography is. But, I want to try hip-hop next!
Are there any genres MOA want you to revisit, or that you would like to? For example ‘0X1=LOVESONG’ is hugely popular with MOA.
TAEHYUN: I personally feel like MOA love our songs that are rooted in the rock genre the most.
MOA love the close dynamic of TXT. Out of the group who is the following:
The one member the other members go to for advice/comfort the most?
There’s no one specific member that everyone turns to for advice. It depends on the topic, but when needed, each member brings their perspective to help one another. We consistently make an effort to provide encouragement and support.
The member who is biggest yapper (most talkative):
TAEHYUN! He always provides thoughtful feedback and cares for the other members, offering words of encouragement. He’s also the most curious among us, eager to learn about new things and share his knowledge with everyone.
The biggest princess of the group (pampered by the other members)
We can’t think of anyone specific!
The most mischievous:
SOOBIN: I think we all love to joke around, but recently I remember when YEONJUN kept making a loud noise while I was recording to distract me!
YEONJUN: BEOMGYU
BEOMGYU: SOOBIN
TAEHYUN: Everyone has a mischievous side to them!
HUENINGKAI: Everyone, but whenever we’re shooting a music video, YEONJUN always tries to push someone in the water if we’re by a pool or the beach.
Who is the most sensitive and caring?
SOOBIN: It may sound cliché, but we all look out for each other.
YEONJUN: Everyone tries their best to support and make each other feel safe and comfortable.
BEOMGYU: Everyone!
HUENINGKAI: I think we’ve been able to maintain an amazing team dynamic because everyone genuinely cares for one another.
TAEHYUN: I nominate myself. I think I give helpful and constructive feedback.

SOOBIN told a funny story to MOA’s about taking a selfie for MOA’s birthday and Beomgyu walking in on him. You’re all very comfortable with one another. Did this closeness as a group happen over time from being together so much or did you have to become comfortable with each other very quickly as a group? Do you have any other funny stories like this that MOA don’t know about but would find amusing?
SOOBIN: I feel like our bond has naturally grown stronger over time. While I’m close with all the members, I’ve connected with BEOMGYU more since we are roomies. We’ve been spending more time together, enjoying late-night snacks, and sharing our thoughts, which has brought us closer.
What are you most looking forward to in 2025?
YEONJUN: We’re currently in the second episode of our third world tour ‘ACT : PROMISE’ visiting fans around the globe. There’s nothing that brings me more joy than performing in front of MOA, strengthening our bond and creating unforgettable memories together. This tour is especially special because we finally met MOA in Europe for our solo concert! We have exciting projects planned for the rest of 2025, and we hope to make our fans feel like this year is filled with TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s music.
