Zsela has shared a new track and video, titled ‘Fire Excape’ – check the new visual out first on Rolling Stone UK below.

The new track is the New York-born, Los Angeles-based artist’s first new music in three years.

‘Fire Excape’ is a warm and inviting track that cloaks lyrics about taking scary but necessary risks in beautiful, understated instrumentation.

Discussing ‘Fire Excape’, Zsela told Rolling Stone UK: “It’s a frenzied love song playing with the joy and fear of letting go and the unexpected turns that come with falling—Be it in love or flat on your face. ‘Might you be around? Might you hear the sound?’”

Of the video, playing first on Rolling Stone UK below, she added: “Shot in NYC, the video lends to the nonlinear fever dream within the song, cracking of the fourth wall while actively trying not to break it. It’s a meditation on love with themes of escape/exit, allowing you to sit in the ambiguity rather than trying to answer it.”

Zsela emerged in 2019 with debut single ‘Noise’ and followed it up with debut EP Ache of Victory.

Her debut album is due this year.
