Mowalola brings her surreal world to Jordan
The classic Air Jordan 14 enters a new era courtesy of one of London’s most fearless designers
Ever since graduating from Central Saint Martins in 2017, Mowalola has been taking London fashion by storm. The Nigerian-British designer has built her world at the intersection of sex, streetwear and unapologetic self-expression, so a collaboration with Jordan Brand feels like a natural next step. Now, she’s bringing her provocative design language to one of the brand’s most iconic silhouettes.
At the heart of the collaboration is the classic Air Jordan 14, reworked in cracked, aged leather that gives the iconic silhouette a distinctly worn-in edge.

Mowalola also strips the sneaker back into a mule, transforming its familiar shape into something altogether more unexpected. The result is part sneaker, part slip-on, and unmistakably Mowalola, bringing her irreverent approach to one of Jordan Brand’s most recognisable designs.
“Individuality is at the heart of this project,” the designer explains. “I wanted to create a world where being completely yourself is the thing that makes you powerful. I dont need everyone to understand it. I want them to feel something”.
The campaign, “Something’s Off,” is far from your typical Jordan campaign. Famed fashion photographer Norbert Schoerner, whose futuristic work for Prada helped define an era, shot the surreal visuals.

More than just trainers, the collaboration extends into apparel, bringing together Jordan’s sporting heritage with the raw sex appeal that has become synonymous with Mowalola’s collections. Oversized leather jackets, faux fur and basketball-inspired pieces give the range a distinctly provocative edge, blurring the line between sportswear and something far more sensual.
To experience the collection in person, Jordan Brand and Mowalola are bringing the campaign to life with a special exhibition at 95 Oxford Street in London’s Soho from 19–20 September. Expect the surreal world of the campaign to spill into the space, offering fans a chance to step inside Mowalola’s vision for Jordan.
