A behind the seams look at Raye’s show stopping Ferrari Style Fashion Awards gown
Creative Director Rocco Iannone shares the making-of process behind the crystal-embellished gown for the 'Where Is My Husband!' performance
Any worthwhile award shows needs a musical act, and The Fashion Awards 2025 certainly delivered. This year, Raye treated the British fashion elite to a performance of her chart topping single “Where Is My Husband!”. While all ears were on her R&B inflected vocals, everyone’s eyes were on her custom Ferrari Style gown.
“I wanted the dress to express Ferrari’s sculptural purity and emotional intensity, while ensuring she felt entirely confident and at ease so she could fully enjoy her performance,” explains creative director Rocco Iannone.
Accompanying Raye as her date for the evening, Iannone unveiled the bespoke gown to attendees as they walked the red carpet. The silver moiré, crystal-embellished gown was hand-sewn by eight artisans, embodying Ferrari Style’s commitment to precision.
While better known for sports cars, Ferrari launched its fashion division in 2021. With Iannone leading the charge, the designer reimagines Ferrari’s design language for a clothing line rooted in Italian craftsmanship.

The designer elaborated on this unique vision, sharing insight into the creative process and the close bond they’ve developed with the artist. “Knowing she would also take the stage allowed me to build on our previous collaborations and the understanding we’ve developed of her personal style,” the designer stated.
Raye’s vintage-inspired hairstyle and makeup harmonised with the gown’s structured, turn-of-the-century silhouette. As the artist sparkled on stage, the meticulous placement of the gown’s crystal embellishments came alive, highlighting Iannone’s eye for precision.

Ultimately, the dress was a tribute to the artist wearing it, as the designer confirms: “Dressing an artist of such unique talent is always a privilege; Raye embodies a strength and sophisticated elegance that continually inspire my work.”
