For longtime fans of Slayyyter, her love of fashion is nothing new. From the Y2K McBling references that defined her debut mixtape to the Midwestern grit of her Worst Girl in America era, her style has always reflected her sonic evolution. In her latest music video, the rising star is trading her beat-up Chanels for brand new McQueen.

As she ushers in her sequel album Worst Man in America, Slayyyter taps into the rebellious spirit of the East End-born fashion house reimagined by creative director Seán McGirr. For the video of lead single “Brand New Chanel$”, she embraces gritty glamour in a Victorian-inspired corset and marching jacket from the Spring/Summer 2026 collection.

Built on contrast, the look pairs delicate floral jacquards and sculptural silhouettes with harder details – from frogging embroidery on a utilitarian jacket to corseted constructions. Finished with a vintage-inspired tutu, the look captures McQueen’s theatrical spirit: where craftsmanship, history and rebellion collide for a new generation.

McGirr’s tenure at the brand has been defined by a fine balance between the romantic and the rebellious, reworking McQueen’s codes through a youthful lens. Think: It Girls navigating a night out in Shoreditch, blending runway pieces with vintage finds. With the likes of Charli xcx and Caroline Polachek among the figures drawn to McGirr’s universe, the designer’s vision for McQueen has been a melting pot of fashion, music, and performance.

That balance of romance and resistance makes it a natural fit for Slayyyter. Since taking the helm at McQueen, McGirr has pushed the house towards a younger, digitally fluent audience, creating pieces that live as vividly online as they do on the street. By merging heritage with attitude and irreverence, his vision aligns with a generation that treats fashion as performance.

And Slayyyter has become the perfect ambassador for that shift. Her recent headline-grabbing appearance at Lollapalooza cemented her status as one of pop’s emerging It Girls, commanding the stage with the same confidence and theatricality that defines McQueen.

With her new album further establishing her as a force in modern pop, she’s proving that the next generation of style icons aren’t waiting for permission – they’re creating the moment themselves. In McQueen, Slayyyter has found a wardrobe that matches her world: fearless, provocative and impossible to ignore.
