Sacai’s second UGG collab was made for winter days
The outdoor-inspired shoes debuted as part of the Japanese brand’s Autumn/Winter 2025 runway show.
Sacai, founded in 1999 by Japanese designer Chitose Abe, is all about contrasts. From hybrid coats to multi-functional suiting, the brand continued its exploration in fusing garments with Autumn/Winter 2025. The cherry on top was a second collaboration with UGG, elevating outdoor gear for the adventurous at heart.
The collaboration introduces three distinct silhouettes, a daring thigh-high boot, a chunky loafer, and a modern hiker boot. Crafted from UGG’s signature plush suede and shearling. Each piece embodies Abe’s signature hybridisation: the art of merging opposites to create something entirely new.
The Thigh High Boot commands attention in black or chestnut, featuring adjustable back buckles that can be worn fully fastened or folded down to reveal the sumptuous sheepskin lining beneath. Meanwhile, the UGG Sacai Loafer and UGG Sacai Hiker reinterpret timeless silhouettes with exposed shearling trims and exaggerated proportions. bridging the gap between the everyday and the avant-garde.
Both brands bring their strengths to the table. UGG’s Californian warmth and craftsmanship meet sacai’s Tokyo-born experimentation. The result? Footwear that feels as untamed as it does elegant. A blend of luxury and rebellion.
