Fox News host Laura Ingraham has been mocked online after failing to understand that a guest was not referring to her, but in fact discussing the hit Netflix show ‘You’.

The right-wing pundit hosted journalist Raymond Arroyo on Monday night’s edition of ‘The Ingraham Angle’ for a debate which took aim at apparent “woke storylines” on television.

To back up his argument, Arroyo spoke about a plot thread in season three of the psychological horror drama which focuses on a measles outbreak in the Californian neighbourhood where sinister lead character Joe (Penn Badgley) lives.

In the episode, Joe (Badgley) and his baby son both contract measles from an unvaccinated family.

“I was watching an episode of ‘You’ where measles came up,” said Arroyo.

Confused, Ingraham immediately responded: “Wait, when I did mention measles?”

Arroyo replied: “I don’t know, it was on ‘You.'”

But Arroyo’s clarification did little to help Ingraham, who then said: “What was on me? What are you talking about?!”

Increasingly exasperated, Arroyo then made a second, ultimately futile attempt at explaining himself.

“There’s the measles and the vaccine episode on ‘You!'”, he said.

With the whole segment rapidly descending into a farce, it soon transpired that Ingraham *still* failed to understand what he meant.

“Are you even hearing what I’m saying? I never had the measles! We never did a measles and vaccine episode, is this a joke?”

As both sides failed to make an intellectual breakthrough, things then take a heated turn as Ingraham branded Arraya’s comments “stupid”.

But the greatest moment of unintentional comic brilliance was saved right until the end when Arraya delivered the plainest, most straightforward explanation possible.

“There’s a show called ‘You’ on Netflix,” he explained.

Ingraham, not missing a beat, responded: “There’s a show called Laura Ingraham on Netflix?”

Arroyo eventually gives up, responding: “I can’t explain this to you.”

The brilliant moment has since gone viral on social media, with one Twitter user likening it to an “SNL skit”.

Another said: “Y’all if you ever thought the folks over at Fox News couldn’t get any dumber, Laura Ingraham just said hold my beer.”

Ingraham is yet to personally respond to the clip, or confirm whether she is in fact able to differentiate between a fictional TV drama and reality.
