Netflix has confirmed the release date of the hit show’s third season, as well as sharing the first trailer.

The show was previously confirmed for an October return, but Netflix has now confirmed that it’ll be the third day of that very month that fans will get their next slice of Alice Oseman’s acclaimed show.

The first clip, soundtracked by new Billie Eilish song ‘Lunch’ no less, sees Charlie (Joe Locke) preparing to tell his boyfriend Nick Nelson (Kit Connor) that he loves him for the first time.

There’s a new dynamic to the pair too when Charlie arrives on Nick’s doorstep wearing a cap for the first time in front of his boyfriend, while Nick is experimenting with a new vest.

An official synopsis for the third season teases: “Charlie would like to tell Nick that he loves him. Nick also has something important to say to Charlie. As the summer holiday ends and the months race on, the friends begin to realise that the school year will come with both its joys and its challenges. As they learn more about each other and their relationships, plan social events and parties and start thinking about university choices, everyone must learn to lean on those they love when life doesn’t go to plan.”

Season Three will also see Jonathan Bailey make his debut as Charlie’s celebrity crush, though further details on that are yet to be confirmed.
