The UK iteration of the hugely popular and influential NBC comedy show launched in March, receiving critical acclaim and attracting guests hosts such as SNL legend Tina Fey, Hannah Waddingham and Ncuti Gatwa.

A second season was initially confirmed back in May, but Sky has now revealed that the first episode will air on Saturday, 12 September.

The broadcaster said that the six brand-new episodes will deliver a “fresh season of unpredictable, must-watch Saturday night television”, while promising further shows in early 2027.

The entire 11-member inaugural cast will also return for the new run, consisting of Hammed Animashaun, Ayoade Bamgboye, Larry Dean, Celeste Dring, George Fouracres, Ania Magliano, Annabel Marlow, Al Nash, Jack Shep, Emma Sidi and Paddy Young.

Though attracting modest TV ratings, the show has been responsible for a string of viral hits online, including Fouracres’ impression of then Prime Minister Keir Starmer and a number of other offbeat sketches.

Speaking of the show’s success, Larry Dean told Rolling Stone UK earlier this year: “One thing we’ve done really well is prove the haters wrong.”

“I was very quietly confident that the show was going to be great, because [in] the writers and performers, the standard is really high,” Dean adds. “We’re always trying to make sure that we’re doing something a bit different and that’s ballsy. British humour is a bit ballsy.”

Fans hoping to be part of the action in the live studio audience will be able to apply for tickets from 10AM on Friday 14 August here.
