Jamie Campbell-Bower has picked up The Television Award for his terrifying turn as Vecna in Stranger Things at the Rolling Stone UK Awards 2025.
The actor and newly-anointed RS UK cover star accepted the award from Derry Girls‘ Siobhan McSweeney, days before the hit Netflix show’s final season begins airing.
Accepting the award, Jamie said: “As both an actor and a part-time musician, there are no two words more synonymous with music and culture than Rolling Stone. To be associated with this magazine in a small way is really humbling. On behalf of myself and the cast of Stranger Things, thank you so much.
“Stranger Things is a show about love. About hope. About friendship. And above all about being yourself, and finding yourself no matter the cost. Its message touches millions and brings light where there may be darkness. It proves that together we really are stronger. And even when it seems hopeless, all is not lost.
“It has brought people around the world together, and for that I and the rest of the cast are truly thankful. Its creators and captains Matt and Ross Duffer are two of the most emotionally and intellectually intelligent people I have ever had the pleasure of working alongside. They are two people who had a dream to create a show about young people who were finding themselves, the outsider and friendship in the face of conflict. They have steered our ship for the last 10 years and I would like to thank them for all they have done.
“They are a testament to the saying, if you can see it, you can do it. This show has fundamentally changed my life in so many new ways. And I will be forever grateful. We are really looking forward to handing over this final chapter to you all.”
The third Rolling Stone UK Awards 2025 kicked off earlier tonight with a performance from Myles Smith, who also won The Breakthrough Award. Other award winners so far include Biffy Clyro, Bob Geldof, Wunderhorse, I Swear and Riot Women.
