Tina Fey, Jamie Dornan and Riz Ahmed have been confirmed as the first three guest hosts of Saturday Night Live UK, ahead of the show’s launch this weekend.

The anticipated British incarnation of the legendary US comedy show will air its first episode on Sky this Saturday (March 21).

Fey, an SNL stalwart who became the show’s first female head writer, will host the first episode. Irish actor Dornan will host the second week, while Ahmed will head up the third episode.

Wet Leg will be the first musical act on the show, followed by Wolf Alice and Kasabian in following weeks.

It comes weeks after the show unveiled its cast, described by showrunner James Longman as “a new generation on the screen”.

The SNL UK cast are: Hammed Animashaun, Ayoade Bamgboye, Larry Dean, Celeste Dring, George Fouracres, Ania Magliano, Annabel Marlow, Al Nash, Jack Shep, Emma Sidi and Paddy Young.

Longman said: “The UK is absolutely packed with incredible comedy talent right now and this cast represents the freshest voices we have, they’re bold, exciting and of course, incredibly funny. The chemistry between them is something special and we can’t wait to share this funny group of people with the world.”
