Paul Gorton: What the hell just happened in ‘The Traitors’?!
Fiona's actions last week will go down as the stuff of ‘Traitors’ legend. Naturally, our star columnist has a few thoughts...

So, err, well, where the HELL do we begin? Pound for pound I think that was the most dramatic week in the history of The Traitors and you’ll be completely unsurprised to know that I loved every single mad moment of it.
Let’s start with Fiona, naturally. She was on nothing short of a Kamikaze mission and I think that might be a new record for having a fall from grace in The Traitors. But I had a sneaking suspicion that might be the case even before her now-historic clash with Rachel.
It all began when she revealed her identity as the secret Traitor on Wednesday night and told Rachel and Stephen that she’d been doing their jobs for them. That was way too confident and I don’t think she was doing their jobs at all. She was just drawing up the shortlist. So that’s that.
I’m still trying to get my head around why Fiona refused to believe Rachel when she told everyone that Amanda had confided in her that she used to be a Met Police detective. I think that she sabotaged her own game and those suspicions are now only going to seriously continue to linger around Rachel.
As for the roundtable, I’m not convinced by Fiona’s argument that she voted for Sam at the roundtable because it would benefit Rachel. We know how this game works and the numbers suggested that if she voted for Sam there was a chance she could survive. And she nearly did! But to say she did it for Rachel? Hmm…

So yes, I do think that Fiona’s game means that Rachel is now going to be seriously under the radar. Stephen, however, is playing an interesting game as a Traitor. He doesn’t seem to be putting on a villainous side in the way that I did for the sake of the game, and I think that could really help him go undetected.
He’s obviously been mentioned by Jessie, but I think he’s a very heart-on-his-sleeve kinda guy and I think we saw that when Fiona went. He’s essentially playing the Traitor role in the same way that I think he would have played a Faithful and that might just get him through to the final.
Another person who I reckon we could be seeing in the final is Harriet. I’m saying it, I think she’s the greatest Faithful that this show has ever seen. The way she’s managed to deduce that Rachel and Fiona have gone after each other as Traitors was incredible and I wouldn’t be surprised to see her try and befriend Rachel in the hope that she can go to the end of the game knowing she’s got a Traitor to knock out.
Ultimately though, it’s been one of the greatest weeks that the show has ever managed and proof, not that we ever needed it, that The Traitors remains the greatest show on telly right now. Fiona might be gone, but her Kamikaze mission will live on as one of the most iconic moments in Traitors history. Now, I just can’t bloody wait to see the chaotic aftermath…
As told to Nick Reilly.
