‘The Power of the Dog’ and ‘Dune’ were among the big winners at last night’s 75th BAFTAs (British Academy Film Awards) – see the full list of winners below.

The ceremony was hosted in person by Rebel Wilson at London’s Royal Albert Hall, after being held virtually last year.

Jane Campion’s western ‘The Power of the Dog’ won Best Film and Best Director, while Benedict Cumberbatch, who accepted the award on Campion’s behalf, lost out to the Best Actor award by Will Smith for ‘King Richard’.

Denis Villeneuve’s ‘Dune’ took home five awards out of a leading 11 nominations: Best Score (Hans Zimmer), Best Cinematography, Production Design, Best Sound, and Best Special Visual Effects.

Kenneth Branagh’s semi-autobiographical ‘Belfast’ won Outstanding British Film, while ‘No Time To Die’ Bond star Lashana Lynch won the EE Rising Star award.

Joanna Scanlan was named Best Actress for ‘After Love’, beating out the likes of Lady Gaga and Alana Haim.

‘Coda’ star Troy Kotsur made history as the first ever deaf BAFTA film award winner, and made his acceptance speech via an interpreter. “I think it’s all great you’re recognising my work from all the way across the sea,” he said.

Ariana DeBose took home the Best Supporting Actress for ‘West Side Story’, who said: “This means so much to me, I’m somebody who sings, dances, acts. I speak dance better than I speak English”.

In a notable moment during the ceremony, Wilson explained there were American and British sign language interpreters on stage, before putting up her middle finger and saying: “Luckily, though, in all sign languages, this is the gesture for Putin.”

Earlier in the evening, Cumberbatch also revealed from the red carpet that he wants to be part of the government’s “homes for Ukraine” refugee scheme.

The actor, who was wearing a badge with the colours of the Ukraine flag, told Sky News: “Everyone needs to do as much as they can…there’s been a record number of people volunteering to take people into their homes, I hope to be part of that myself.”
