Jamie xx and Honey Dijon share storming new single ‘Baddy On The Floor’
A long-awaited new album from the producer, following 2015 debut ‘In Colour’, is set to arrive this year.
Jamie xx has shared his second new track of 2024 – listen to the storming ‘Baddy On The Floor’, featuring Honey Dijon, below.
The xx producer made his solo comeback at the start of the year with the track ‘It’s So Good’, his first new music under his own name since 2022.
Now, the new song – played live first in London in 2021 and again during his Coachella set at the weekend – comes as another taster of the long-awaited follow-up to his 2015 debut album In Colour.
In a new interview with BBC Radio 1 about the track, Jamie revealed that he is currently finishing the new album and it will be released this year.

In 2022, Jamie xx shared the solo tracks ‘Let’s Do It Again’ and ‘Kill Dem’, and has also helped out with work on his fellow xx members’ solo projects.
Jamie worked alongside Romy on her acclaimed solo album Mid Air, producing the single ‘Enjoy Your Life’ alongside Fred again.. and Stuart Price. That followed his production work on Oliver Sim’s 2022 debut solo album Hideous Bastard.
