LCD Soundsystem have been announced as the next headliners for All Points East 2024, where they will play alongside Jai Paul and Pixies.

The show, which will take place on Friday, August 23 next year in east London’s Victoria Park, will also feature Jockstrap, Floating Points, Nation of Language and Sofia Kourtesis.

It’s the second All Points East show of 2024 to be announced, after Loyle Carner was recently confirmed to headline on August 17.

An Amex Presale for the LCD Soundsystem show starts at 10am GMT today (Friday, December 1), running until 9am GMT on Tuesday, December 5.

General sale tickets then become available from 10am GMT on Wednesday, December 6. Buy your tickets here.

Last year, LCD Soundsystem returned with ‘New Body Rhumba’, their first new song in five years. The track features in Noah Baumbach’s film adaptation of Don DeLillo’s novel White Noise (1985).

It was the first music from LCD Soundsystem since their fourth studio album, American Dream, which came out back in 2017. That record followed 2010’s This Is Happening, and a lengthy hiatus for the New York outfit.

Last year, frontman James Murphy explained that LCD Soundsystem would “maybe just [be releasing] singles for a while, so there isn’t some ‘album panic’ etc” in a lengthy update he posted on social media.

The group played a run of 20th anniversary concerts at the O2 Academy Brixton in London over the summer, marking their first UK gigs in more than four years. Those dates followed a series of shows in the US. They are currently ending 2023 with another series of US residencies.
