Bree Runway has shared a new single called ‘That Girl’ – you can listen to it below.

The thumping single marks the first music from the rising London artist since ‘Somebody Like You’, which came out back in March.

Produced by EASYFUNN (Charli XCX), ‘That Girl’ is said to usher in the “next phase” of Runway‘s career. It arrives with a Ruth Hogben-directed official video.

“I’ve been on a mini hiatus and there’s no better way to remind you that I’m THAT GIRL,” Runway explained in a statement.

“This song automatically makes me feel like the main character in the middle of a sweaty club, and I’m just oozing sex, glamour and confidence whilst everybody watches.”

She continued: “It’s my everyday reminder of how fabulous I am, and it’s your new everyday reminder too – you’re automatically a 10 if you: turn this on, fuck with it, press play and feel liberated, pumped up, and free.”

Runway has spent most of 2022 working on new material, with more news expected to emerge “soon”.

The singer-songwriter/rapper already has numerous singles, three EPs and a mixtape to her name, but it yet to release her debut studio album.

Runway revealed she would be dropping a single in September at the beginning of the month.

During an interview with NME earlier this year, she confirmed her intention to eventually release a full-length project, saying it is “going to really show off what Bree Runway can do. All I want is for people to walk away from it thinking, this girl can really do anything.”

Runway was nominated for the 2022 BRITs Rising Star Award alongside Lola Young and Holly Humberstone, the latter of whom took home the prize.

Last year saw Bree Runway team up with Glass Animals on the track ‘Space Ghost Coast to Coast’.
