The UK release date for Charli XCX’s mockumentary The Moment has finally been confirmed – and there’s not long to wait.

The new A24 movie sees Charli play an exaggerated version of herself as he navigates the release of 2024’s Brat, its role as a huge cultural phenomenon, and the global tour that followed it. The film will arrive in UK and Ireland cinemas from Friday, February 20.

It’s directed by Aidan Zamiri and features real footage from the Brat tour alongside a selection of fictional scenes which see XCX at loggerheads with increasingly ridiculous music industry figures.

Featuring alongside Charli is Alexander Skarsgård, Rosanna Arquette, Rachel Sennott, Hailey Benton Gates, Jamie Demetriou and Kate Berlant. It also features a cameo from Kylie Jenner.

Next month will also see Charli release the soundtrack album to the upcoming Wuthering Heights movie, directed by Emerald Fennell.

Late last year she shared ‘House’, an eerie new offering from the soundtrack featuring The Velvet Underground’s John Cale. The film will star Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi and is set to premiere on Valentine’s Day.
