Elton John has shared a new ‘Ultimate Zoom Call’ video, which sees him reuniting with his collaborators from ‘The Lockdown Sessions’.

John‘s new lockdown-era album came out earlier this year and saw him collaborating with Dua Lipa, Stevie Wonder, Lil Nas X, Rina Sawayama, Miley Cyrus, Pearl Jam‘s Eddie Vedder, Damon Albarn and many more.

All of these collaborators appear in the new festive video which sees them welcoming in Christmas and reminiscing about the album they created.

Earlier this month, John shared a behind-the-scenes documentary on the making of ‘The Lockdown Sessions’.

Available to stream exclusively on Apple Music, ‘Inside the Lockdown Sessions’ presents fans with an insight into how John pulled together the record, his fifth collaborative full-length. Among others, Miley Cyrus, Stevie Nicks, Eddie Vedder and Rina Sawayama all make appearances, as they do in the new ‘Ultimate Zoom Call’.

‘The Lockdown Sessions’ became John’s first number one album in nine years in October. ‘Cold Heart (Pnau Remix)’, on which he teamed with Dua Lipa, topped the singles chart the same month.

John then achieved further chart glory before the year is out; ‘Merry Christmas’, a festive team-up with Ed Sheerandebuted at Number One in the UK singles charts and aims to unseat LadBaby as the holder of the prestigious Christmas number one position. The Nottingham-based graphic designer, real name Mark Hoyle, has clinched the spot every year since 2018.

However, John and Sheeran have also joined forces with LadBaby, who unveiled his latest festive track earlier this month (December 10), for 2021. ‘Sausage Rolls for Everyone’ is a collaboration with Sheeran and John, meaning that the latter two acts are in an even stronger position to clinch the Christmas top spot.
