FKA Twigs has released the music video for ‘Meta Angel’ from her new mixtape ‘Caprisongs‘ – watch below.

In the Aidan Zamiri-directed clip, an alter-ego of the singer wields a bow and arrow atop a London skyscraper and shoots Twigs, who’s in a park below, in the heart. A floored Twigs then sings the song as she lays on the grass.

‘Meta Angel’ is the latest track shared from ‘Caprisongs’, which was released on Friday (January 14). The mixtape’s singles ‘Tears in the Club‘ and ‘Jealousy’ were released last December and earlier this month, respectively, with the former featuring The Weeknd and the latter featuring Rema.

Twigs also posted a short behind-the-scenes clip from the shoot on social media, captioning it: “When the drone hits.”

Other collaborations on ‘Caprisongs’ come from Jorja Smith, Pa Salieu, Daniel Caesar, Unknown T and Shygirl.

Last November, Twigs teamed up with West London rapper Central Cee for the single ‘Measure Of A Man’. The track was written for the Kingsman prequel film The King’s Man, which was released last month.

Twigs confirmed last October that she had written the whole mixtape during lockdown.

“I just decided one day,” she said as part of the GRAMMY Museum’s new series Programs at Home. “It was 1/3 of the way through and I just went and did it. It was really amazing because I worked predominantly with an amazing artist and producer called El Guincho, and I did the whole thing with pretty much all of the collaborators over FaceTime.”
