Kendrick Lamar is already at work on his next album, according to producer Sounwave.

Lamar released 18-track opus Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers on 13 May this year, and is currently beginning a global tour in support of the album.

According to Sounwave, who has worked consistently with Lamar across his career, work on the rapper’s sixth album began as soon as the most recent one was finished.

Speaking to Complex, the producer said: “Like, we’re starting on the next one now. That’s never going to change, all the way from the Kendrick Lamar EP. The next day, we started on Section.80. It’s just the ideas never stopped.”

The producer added that, in order to keep the creativity going, he is following Lamar on his current US tour, and says that the pair are “like kids in a candy shop” when making music together.

His cousin and collaborator Baby Keem will support on all of those dates, alongside Tanna Leone; both artists contributed to ‘Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers’, with Keem chipping in on four songs: ‘N95’, ‘Die Hard’, ‘Savior (Interlude)’, and ‘Savior’.
