Little Simz has released her brand new album NO THANK YOU’ today (December 12), just six days after first announcing it.

The 2022 Mercury Prize winner and current Rolling Stone UK cover star confirmed news of her fifth album last week in a video which featured a selection of positive affirmations.

She went on to reveal the record’s 10 song tracklist, as well the release date and confirmation it was produced by SAULT’s Inflo.

Releasing the album this morning (December 12), Simz said in a statement: ““emotion is energy in motion. honour your truth and feelings. eradicate fear. boundaries are important.”

You can listen to the album – the follow-up to 2021’s Sometimes I Might Be Introvert – now.

Accepting the Mercury Prize win back in October, she said: “Wow. I’m very very overwhelmed, I’m very grateful. Glory to God – God thank you so much; to my family over here, my loved ones right here. I wanna say a huge thank you to the Mercury for this incredible, incredible prize. I wanna say a thank you to my brother and close collaborator [producer] Inflo – Flo [has] known me since I was so young, he’s stuck by me, we created this album together. There was times in the studio I didn’t know if I was gonna finish this record, I was going through all the emotions … he stuck by me.”

Further success came when Simz won Album of the Year at the MOBOs last week, sharing the honour with Knucks.
