Pitbull’s BST Hyde Park show to stage Guinness World Record for most people wearing bald caps

BST Hyde Park has announced that it will attempt to make history by breaking the Guinness World Record for the most people wearing bald caps at Pitbull’s huge show this summer.
The Miami singer – commonly known as Mr Worldwide – will headline the huge London gig on Friday, July 10.
Now, it’s been confirmed that organisers will host an official Guinness World Records title attempt on the night, as the event seeks to earn the title of the largest gathering of people wearing bald caps.
The offbeat idea is the brainchild of BBC Radio 1 Breakfast host Greg James, who has been an unlikely friend of the singer and sent a text to him to suggest the idea.
It’s been fuelled by the trend in recent years where fans have turned up to Pitbull shows wearing bald caps, aviators and leather jackets in honour of the main man’s distinctive look.
“Guinness Book of World Records, get ready for all the Bald-E’s that’ll be putting it down on July 10 at Hyde Park,” Pitbull said in a new statement.
“Every time you put on that bald cap, you know you’re about to have the time of your lives. We appreciate the love, the commitment, and the support. More than anything, we just want to say thank you.”
Kesha will support Pitbull at the Hyde Park show, alongside a soon to be announced full supporting bill.
Reviewing Pitbull’s show at The O2 last year, we described it as “the only cult I’d ever want to join”.
“It’s ridiculous stuff, but even the hardest of cynics would surely be unable to resist a cheeky grin at 20,000 people losing their shit under the command of a bloke who looks like he’d be in charge of the door at a Yates Wine Lodge,” the review added.
