Rod Stewart announces 2027 farewell tour
Rod The Mod is hitting the road for one final time in 2027.

Rod Stewart has announced details of his final tour, confirming it will “most definitely” be his last time on the road.
The 81-year-old music legend has been hitting the road since the 1960s, but says his last jaunt will come to an end with Rod Stewart: The Final Encore, a tour of the UK and Europe beginning April 2027.
The arena tour will take in UK shows across London, Belfast, Birmingham, Glasgow and Manchester, before the European run ends in Hanover, Germany, in July.
Sir Rod said: “The time has come to say farewell to life on the road. After more than six decades, The Final Encore will most definitely be my last. I’ve been singing the music I love since I was 19 years old, and I’ve had the privilege of taking it around the world to all of you. It has given me a life beyond anything I could ever have imagined, and I hope I’ve given you some fond memories in return. So, may I take this opportunity to thank you for making this extraordinary life possible.”
Though he will no longer tour, he has said that one-off shows still remain a possibility – a similar path to the one taken by Elton John after Glastonbury 2023 marked his final ever tour show.
Last month, he also took a few days off tour to recover following a successful routine coronary stent procedure.
In a statement shared with Rolling Stone on Tuesday, Aug. 11, a representative for the artist said that the singer is doing well and has returned to his daily activities. “On the advice of his doctors, he will take the next four weeks to recuperate and regain full fitness before returning to the stage,” said the rep. “Unfortunately, this means he will be unable to continue his current tour dates.”
Reviewing Rod Stewart’s Glastonbury legends slot in 2025, RS UK described it as “a legends slot that does what it says on the tin”.
“Is it cheesier than the delicious Worthy Farm cheese toasties they’re selling at the festival this weekend?,” we wrote. “Absolutely. Does it nail the brief of what a legends slot should be? Absolutely, too. Ridiculous and schmaltzy but there will be very few complaints from the huge crowd that lapped up every moment of it.”
