Soundhood Hackney 2025: Folly Group, Courting, Gurriers and more join SON Estrella Galicia’s indie takeover

SON Estrella Galicia is back in Hackney this autumn with the return of its flagship UK event, the Soundhood Hackney mini-festival.
Taking place on Saturday 27 September 2025, this year’s outing brings more artists, more venues, and even more of that unique Spanish-meets-British energy that has defined the event since its debut.
Across three East London venues – Oslo, Paper Dress Vintage and Sebright Arms – festivalgoers can catch a standout line-up of UK, Irish and Spanish artists.
Topping the bill are London’s own Folly Group, whose live shows have earned cult status, along with indie agitators Courting and fast-rising Irish newcomers Gurriers, who bring their breakneck debut album to Oslo.
The international edge comes courtesy of Spanish acts Yawners and Amor Líquido. Yawners, the project of guitarist and composer Elena Nieto, blends pop-punk with 90s nostalgia, while Amor Líquido push the boundaries of Spanish art-punk with a raw, confrontational energy. Representing Wales is MORN, a powerful four-piece built around two sets of siblings, with a sound as intense as it is intricate.
The music starts from 5pm and runs late into the night, with a single ticket granting access to all sets at Oslo and entry to the other venues while capacity allows. Alongside the live programme, SON Estrella Galicia are bringing two special experiences that combine music and beer in imaginative ways: ‘Beer Backstage’ at Sebright Arms (5.45pm) and ‘Beer & Beats’ at Paper Dress Vintage (7.00pm).
Established in 2009 by the independent, family-run Estrella Galicia brewery, SON Estrella Galicia has carved out a niche for pairing emerging music with creative hospitality. Since 2022, they’ve become a fixture in Hackney, supporting local venues and championing new talent. Their events have already taken over Sebright Arms and Oslo as part of previous collaborations – and Soundhood Hackney 2025 is set to be their biggest yet.
