Kylie Minogue was the special guest during Madonna‘s latest ‘Celebration’ tour gig in Los Angeles.

The pair performed ‘I Will Survive’ and Kylie’s 2001 hit ‘Can’t Get You Out of My Head’ during Thursday night’s (March 7) gig at the Kia Forum.

On Instagram, Kylie wrote: “MADONNA. It’s been a long time coming!!! LOVED being with you!!!! Celebration Tour AND it is now International Women’s Day …. THANK YOU and LOVE LOVE LOVE.”

Reviewing the opening night of Madonna’s Celebration tour, Rolling Stone UK wrote: “Much like the singer herself, tonight’s opening show is two hours of overblown, indulgent fun that refuses to dance to the beat of anyone else’s drum. She owns this mantra herself late on, with a montage that looks back at all the detractors – Cher to name but one – who have slung insults at the Madonna throughout her career.

“After all, she’s the one still standing after 40 years. In a year when Taylor Swift’s own look back at her career is proving the biggest tour in a generation, here’s a true icon, who for the most part at least, is determined to show that her throne as the Queen of Pop remains roundly intact. A celebration, well and truly delivered.”

Earlier in the tour, Gloria Gaynor responded to Madonna covering her iconic track ‘I Will Survive’ on her ongoing run of shows, saying: “So happy that you are in good health and ready to have a holiday with fans around the world! By the way, you have excellent taste in music!”

Kylie, meanwhile, will headline BST Hyde Park in London this summer and received the Global Icon Award at last week’s 2024 BRIT Awards.
