Celebrated DJ and producer Erol Alkan has shared an epic nine and a half minute remix of Duran Duran’s ‘Give It All Up’, taken from their celebrated 15th studio album ‘Future Past’.

The band’s latest record dropped in October 21 and saw Alkan leading its production, alongside pioneering Italian producer Giorgio Moroder.

Now, Alkan has weaved his magic on the band’s music once more for the mix – which you can listen to in full below.

As well as working with Alkan on ‘Future Past’, Duran Duran also enlisted a range of eclectic collaborators that included the likes of Ivorian Doll on ‘Hammerhead’, Japanese punks CHAI on ‘MORE JOY!’ and the guitars of Graham Coxon on several tracks.

Last weekend also saw the group being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, using their speech to pay tribute to musical forebearers.

“Thank you. Music nourished us and gave us identities,” said bass guitarist John Taylor.

“We would not be here without the influence of the Beatles, David Bowie and Mick Ronson, T-Rex, the Sex Pistols and the Clash… Siouxsie Sioux and Patty Smith, Japan… These and so many others were all at one time parents, mentors, and spirit guides. Without them and their music, we might never find each other.”

Singer Simon LeBon also used the occasion to read a letter from original guitarist Andy Taylor, who is suffering from prostate cancer.

“You can dream about what happened to us but to experience it, on one’s own terms, as mates, was beyond incredible,” read Taylor’s letter.

“Just over four years ago, I was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic prostate cancer. Many families have experienced the slow burn of this disease, and of course, we are no different, so I speak from the perspective of a family man, but with profound humility to the band, the greatest fans a group could have, and this exceptional accolade. I’m truly sorry and massively disappointed I couldn’t make it.

“Let there be no doubt I was stoked about the whole thing — even bought a new guitar with the essential whammy! I’m so very proud of these four brothers, I’m amazed at their durability, and I’m overjoyed at accepting this award. I often doubted the day would come. I’m sure as hell glad I’m around to see the day.”

DJ / producer Erol Alkan has made an epic nine and a half minute remix of Duran Duran’s GIVE IT ALL UP featuring vocals from Swedish hit maker Tove Lo, taken from their new album, FUTURE PAST. The album marks the band’s 15th studio LP, and highest charting record in 16 years. Duran Duran worked with Erol Alkan on production for the album and pioneering Italian composer / producer Giorgio Moroder, who added his magic to create two instant future classics (‘BEAUTIFUL LIES,’ ‘TONIGHT UNITED’), as well as some of the most unexpected and inspiring names in pop – including ‘Queen of Drill’ Ivorian Doll on ‘HAMMERHEAD’ and Japan’s CHAI on ‘MORE JOY!’. In addition, Blur’s Graham Coxon co-wrote and lends his guitar to several tracks on the record and David Bowie’s former pianist Mike Garson adds an exquisite sonic layer to album closer ‘FALLING’. The record, which was recorded across studios in London and LA over lockdown, also features long-time collaborator Mark Ronson who co-wrote and played on ‘WING,’ and was mixed by Mark ‘Spike’ Stent.
