Jessie Ware has announced new single ‘Free Yourself’ and says it’s the first of a “whole load” of new music she’s got on the way.
The new track will arrive on July 19 and comes just weeks after the South London singer premiered it during her headline set at Glastonbury’s The Park Stage.
It’s co-written by Jessie and Clarence Coffee Jr. (Dua Lipa, Lizzo, Tinashe), while production comes from Stuart Price – known for his work with the likes of The Killers, Dua Lipa, Madonna and Kylie Minogue.
Jessie said: “I wrote [Free Yourself] on the same day as I wrote another tune that you are yet to hear, on my first studio date with the incomparable Stuart Price and my old mate, Coffee.
“It was easy, fun and I think we were all surprised when I went in for the belter chorus! I hope you enjoy it, let’s start as we mean to go on, free, joyful and dancing hard!”
The latest track is the first new solo effort to emerge from Ware since 2020 album What’s Your Pleasure? saw her experimenting with disco and was released to critical acclaim.
Last year also saw her team up with Kylie Minogue on the disco single ‘Kiss Of Life’.
