Jessie Ware returns with new disco-tinged single ‘Free Yourself’
A dancefloor-primed comeback from the South London star

Jessie Ware has released her first single of 2022, the disco-tinged ‘Free Yourself’.
Described as the first taste of her anticipated fifth studio album, the track was co-written with Coffee Clarence JR and British producer Stuart Price.
It comes just weeks after the South London singer premiered it during her headline set at Glastonbury’s The Park Stage.
Hailing the start of her latest campaign, Ware said: “Free Yourself’ is the beginning of a new era for me.
“I’m so excited for people to have this song for the end of their summer; to dance, to feel no inhibitions and to feel joyful because that’s how I’ve been feeling recently being able to tour again and being able to sing again. Enjoy yourself, Free Yourself!”
The latest track is the first new solo effort to emerge from Ware since 2020 album What’s Your Pleasure? saw her experimenting with disco and was released to critical acclaim.
Last year also saw her team up with Kylie Minogue on the disco single ‘Kiss Of Life’. A 2021 reissue of ‘What’s Your Pleasure’ also saw the singer share seven new tracks alongside a fresh remix of ‘Adore You’ by Chinese stars Bibi Zhou and Sihan.
