Wet Leg made their debut appearance on Later… With Jools Holland over the weekend – check out their performance of ‘Chaise Longue’ below.

The Isle Of Wight duo – comprising Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers – gave the viral hit a live airing on Saturday’s episode (October 30) of the long-running BBC show, which also featured Sting and Nubya Garcia.

Wet Leg played the tongue-in-cheek track at The Ivy House in London alongside their touring band. Matching the high-energy chorus of ‘Chaise Longue’, the visuals flash rapidly between shots while some lines in the verse (“Is your muffin buttered?“) are accompanied by extreme close-ups of Teasdale’s mouth.

“Sweet mother of Jesus – They’re off the chart!” wrote one viewer in the comments section. Another said: “EXCELLENT VIDEO WORK.”

Wet Leg followed up ‘Chaise Longue’ with the release of ‘Wet Dream’ in September. Last month, the band announced a UK headline tour for 2022. It came after they wrapped up a string of dates supporting Inhaler.

Wet Leg will play:

April 2022
16 – Newcastle, St Doms
17 – Edinburgh, The Mash House
19 – Leeds, Brudenell Social Club
20 – Manchester, Gorilla
21 – Bristol, Trinity Centre
23 – Birmingham, O2 Institute
24 – Norwich, Arts Centre
26 – London, Scala
27 – Portsmouth, Wedgewood Rooms

Meanwhile, Wet Leg have been announced as the ambassadors for Independent Venue Week 2022.

“The way I see it is this – No Independent venues = No music scene,” the band said in a statement. “No community. And to me, I feel that that’s something worth continuing to preserve and nurture.”
