Radiohead announce 2027 residencies in Australia and Japan
The band continue with their plan to tour the world continent by continent
Radiohead have announced the next phase of their residency-based world tour, announcing 2027 dates in Australia and Japan.
Last year, the band made a long-awaited return late last year with four shows in each of five European cities, their first live shows in seven years.
Afterwards, guitarist Ed O’Brien told Rolling Stone that the band would begin a protracted world tour in 2027, playing 20 shows per year on a different continent each time.
This plan is now beginning with 21 shows set for Australian cities Perth, Melbourne and Sydney, as well as Saitama in Japan.

Reviewing the first of the band’s four gigs at London’s The O2 in late 2025, Rolling Stone UK said: “Of all the questions following this tour around, only one is comprehensively answered tonight: this is without doubt the greatest songbook of the last 30 years, and its power only continues to grow.”
