The official trailer for Stranger Things season four has been released – offering an action-packed conclusion to the iconic Netflix show’s final season.

The hit series returns to Netflix in two parts, with Vol.1 premiering on May 27 and Vol.2 arriving on July 1.

It will see the return of Millie Bobby Brown as telekinetic youngster Eleven, alongside Finn Wolfhard, Winona Ryder, Gaten Matarazzo, Noah Schnapp, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalia Dyer, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Maya Hawke and Charlie Heaton.

The first look at season four sees the town of Hawkins struggling to cope with the events of Season Three, which concluded with Billy (Dacre Montgomery) sacrificing his own life.

But it soon becomes clear that new threats are on the horizon, forcing Eleven to mount the battle of her life.

An official synopsis teases: “It’s been six months since the Battle of Starcourt, which brought terror and destruction to Hawkins. Struggling with the aftermath, our group of friends are separated for the first time – and navigating the complexities of high school hasn’t made things any easier.

“In this most vulnerable time, a new and horrifying supernatural threat surfaces, presenting a gruesome mystery that, if solved, might finally put an end to the horrors of the Upside Down.”
