Stray Kids’ Hyunjin stars in Versace’s Holiday Campaign

The K-Pop star, known for his extraordinary dancing and love of fashion was welcomed into the Versace fold earlier in the year. For his first campaign with the brand, he literally sparkles in the brand's festive campaign, wearing shimmering lurex formalwear and some ice cold outerwear

Earlier this year, Stray Kids’ Hyunjin was welcomed into the Versace family as one of their global ambassadors. It was quite the welcome party for the Stray Kids member, when he was greeted at Versace’s La Vacanza show by a flurry of the extended Versace family, including icon and Versace icon herself, Donatella Versace along with Dua Lipa, Manu Rios and Troye Sivan. The luxury brand have been dressing the K-Pop star ever since, decking him out head to toe for everything, including the band’s debut performance and win at the VMAs which even attracted the attention of Taylor Swift in the audience, impressed with their incredible performance (go watch some TikTok’s of Hyunjin dancing, and thank us later.)

The announcement that Hyunjin would be starring in Versace’s Holiday campaign sent Stays (the name for the Stray Kids’ fandom) into a frenzy. Last week, Prince Hyunjin’s quick stop to Versace’s Ginza store in Tokyo to tease the campaign made national news in Japan, due to the huge crowds that flocked to see him. He spent plenty of time waving from the store and interacting with his adoring fans, before signing a giant picture of himself in the store and trying out his Italian for Donatella on Instagram.

Now that Halloween is over and Mariah Carey has defrosted and decreed that the festive season is upon us, Versace has released their Holiday campaign images with Hyunjin wearing a mix of holiday Versace pieces, including Barocco print, a sleek and shimmering lurex blazer and pops of acidic colour for good measure. As well as evening wear, outerwear, knits and laser-cut denim, Versace has also introduced the Athena tote bag, made from GOTS-certified cotton canvas, in a tone-to-tone textural jacquard, that comes in various sizes (since everyone is still going crazy for the tiny bag.)

Our favourite little ferret (we’re not being rude, that’s his designated animal emoji) has even done his own Versace Holiday Wishlist on the Versace site. Though he’s just as happy in sparkly formalwear as he is in a cute oversized ‘Versace’ slogan tee whilst he sits on Instagram lives chatting sleepily away to his beloved Stays.

As an early festive present, Stray Kids are releasing their eighth EP ‘Rock-Star’ on November the 10th and will be aiming for the top spot of the Billboard 200 for the fourth time. There will no doubt be plenty of Hyunjin’s fiery choreography and dance moves that will serve as fan-cam fodder for Tik-Tok and beyond.
