Ozzy Osbourne is “feeling the love” in first health update since surgery
The metal icon underwent an unspecified medical procedure earlier this week

Ozzy Osbourne has thanked fans for their support as he recovers from a major operation.
It comes after Ozzy’s wife Sharon revealed earlier this month that he would be undergoing surgery that could “determine the rest of his life”.
While Sharon remained vague on the procedure, Osbourne has been open about his various health issues in recent years including his diagnosis with Parkinson’s disease in 2020.
In an interview, he previously talked about why he was so open about his health issues: “I feel better now I’ve owned up to them [my fans] about having Parkinson’s. To hide something is hard – you never feel proper. You feel guilty. I’m no good with secrets. I cannot walk around with it anymore. It’s like I’m running out of excuses.”
Yesterday (June 15) Ozzy issued his own statement online, writing: “I am now home from the hospital recuperating comfortably.
“I am definitely feeling the love and support from all my fans and send everyone a big thank you for their thoughts, prayers and well wishes during my recovery.”
The update comes after Sharon previously gave a health update earlier this week.
Posting a statement on her Twitter account, Sharon said: “Our family would like to express so much gratitude for the overwhelming amount of love and support leading up to Ozzy’s surgery! Ozzy is doing well and on the road to recovery! Your love means the world to him.”
The Black Sabbath frontman recently detailed his many ailments and the reason for needing surgery. He said he “can’t walk properly” and “I have physical therapy every morning. I am somewhat better, but nowhere near as much as I want to be to go back on the road.”
Osbourne is currently scheduled to be back on tour in 2023 for his No More Tours 2 run of shows.
The concerts were originally announced in 2018 but have been delayed numerous times due to the Covid-19 pandemic and also Osbourne’s poor health.
The European leg of the tour was originally scheduled to take place in 2019 but was postponed due to Osbourne needing medical treatment.
The tour is currently set to start on 31 May 2o23 in Nottingham and run for a couple of weeks before finishing in his home city of Birmingham on 14 June.
