Rock legend Ozzy Osbourne has tested positive for Covid-19 according to his wife, Sharon.

The TV host and former music manager made the news public on ‘The Talk’, her new show on Talk TV.

During the segment, she got visibly emotional and said: “I am very worried about Ozzy right now. We’ve gone two years without him catching Covid, and it’s just Ozzy’s luck he would get it now.”

She added: “It’ll take me a week to get my old man back on his feet again, and I will be back [on The Talk] in a week… We’re gonna get him a negative test by next week.”

The Black Sabbath frontman has previously been open about his health struggles and how it would related to catching Covid.

Talking to GQ in 2020 about his poor respiratory health, Ozzy said: “I’ve got emphysema, so if I get this virus, I’m fucked.”

He also publicly received his Covid-19 vaccination and shared his thoughts on getting the potentially life-saving jab: “It was like being stabbed. No, my arm was a bit sore yesterday but I’m glad I got it, you know. As soon as I got it I felt relieved.”

Osbourne has suffered a number of health issues in recent years including a Parkinson’s disease diagnosis in 2019 and neck surgery that left him in agony.

He admitted that the Parkinson’s diagnosis had been “terribly challenging” but that he had been seeking treatment in Switzerland to improve his immune system.

The Osbournes are planning on moving back to the UK after living in Los Angeles for over 25 years.
