Bottega Veneta just dropped our dream big bag, and it’s already Jacob Elordi approved
The brand ambassador turned heads last fall when he was spotted with the new Maxi Veneta bag
Jacob Elordi is a master of off-duty style. As a Bottega Veneta brand ambassador, the Euphoria star rarely steps out without slinging supple intrecciato leather nonchalantly over his shoulder. The Andiamo and Cassette have both enjoyed their time in the spotlight, but the house’s newest addition might just upstage them all. Enter the Maxi Veneta.
Fashion watchers quickly noticed when Elordi carried the supersized silhouette through New York City in October. With its easy, slung-shoulder shape and absence of overt hardware or logos, the bag emphasises Bottega Veneta’s quiet-luxury by letting craftsmanship do all the talking.

The Veneta itself isn’t new. A staple in the brand’s lineup since 2002, the style draws inspiration from a 1970s sack bag originally designed by co-founder Renzo Zengiaro. Its defining feature is the house’s signature Intrecciato weave: slim strips of nappa leather meticulously handwoven by artisans into a soft, flexible body that molds to its wearer. Simply put, the more you use it, the better the bag looks.
This season, creative director Louise Trotter has refreshed the classic with four new sizes. The standout? The maxi. Enlarged to generous proportions, it transforms the once-understated shoulder bag into something closer to a weekender – roomy enough for daily essentials and then some. It’s practical, yes, but also purposefully dramatic.

In an era still flirting with micro bags, the Maxi Veneta feels like a confident pivot back to scale. On Elordi, it reads effortless. For everyone else, it’s a reminder that sometimes bigger really is better – especially when it’s woven by hand.
