Thom Yorke plays Radiohead and The Smile songs solo for the first time
Yorke performed stripped-back renditions of ‘Bodysnatchers’, ‘Exit Music (For A Film)’ and more

Thom Yorke performed Radiohead tracks for the first time solo during an acoustic set in Switzerland over the weekend – check out fan-shot footage below.
Yorke took to the stage at the Zeltbühne venue in Zermatt on Saturday night (April 9), marking his first solo show of the year.
During the 23-s0ng concert, the musician played Radiohead cuts ‘Bodysnatchers’, ‘Daydreaming’, ‘Decks Dark’ and ‘Exit Music (For A Film)’ on his own for the very first time. Elsewhere, he delivered the first solo airing of the band’s ‘These Are My Twisted Words’ since 2010 (via Setlist.FM).
Yorke also played ‘Pana-vision’ – the most recent offering from The Smile, his new band with Jonny Greenwood and Sons Of Kemet‘s Tom Skinner. Additionally, he dusted off his solo track ‘The Eraser’ for the first time in 12 years.
Other tracks to feature on the setlist included Radiohead’s ‘Everything In Its Right Place’, ‘Videotape’, ‘Idioteque’ and ‘House Of Cards’. You can watch a selection of videos from the concert below.
Last month saw Yorke release a new solo single, ‘5.17’, which was written for the sixth and final season of ‘Peaky Blinders’. Yorke and Greenwood both contributed original music to the Birmingham gangster series’ last outing.
The Smile, meanwhile, are set to embark on a UK and European headline tour next month. They played their first live shows back in January, hosting three London gigs across an evening and the following morning.
As well as ‘Pana-vision’, the trio have shared the singles ‘The Smoke’, ‘You Will Never Work In Television Again’ and ‘Skrting On The Surface’. The latter began life as a Radiohead song, but was never released by the group.
