Vanguart expands its universe with colour-forward ceramic timepieces
A staple on the wrists of John Mayer and Ed Sheeran, the brand introduces blue and pink ceramic styles for daily wear
The world of haute horology was long overdue for a shake-up when Vanguart emerged in 2017. The launch of the Orb Tourbillon – the world’s first flying tourbillon to allow wearers to switch between manual and automatic modes – quickly established the indie brand as a pioneer in modern watchmaking.
With an A-list following that includes Ed Sheeran, John Mayer and Michael Jordan, Vanguart has become impossible to ignore. Now, the brand refreshes its palette with a timely injection of colour for spring, marking its latest release.

With daily wear in mind, Vanguart reimagines the futurist Orb as the Orb Pink Ceramic Titanium and Orb Blue Ceramic Rose Gold. Retaining its space age, rounded silhouette and classical complication, the coloured ceramics expand both Vanguart’s technical and aesthetic capabilities.
The two new styles are defined by blue and pink ceramic case flanks and coordinating crown-pusher details. Built to resist scratching and fading, even with prolonged exposure to the elements, the pastel hues introduce a softer, spring-ready energy to the design, lightening the Orb’s otherwise futuristic profile with a seasonal sense of colour.
“The Orb Pink Ceramic Titanium and Orb Blue Ceramic Rose Gold reflect how we think about watchmaking today,” Vanguart President Mehmet Koruturk explains in a statement. “Our clients expect pieces that move with them – across different moments, different environments, different lives. Ceramic allowed us to bring that versatility to the Orb while preserving what makes it unique.”

This latest chapter follows years of research and development. Vanguart’s first foray into ceramic had to ensure the material could maintain the Orb’s aerodynamic silhouette, notably the fluid curvature of the case. Bespoke tooling was also developed to support the process, ensuring every component of the watch is produced and finished to Vanguart’s exacting standards.
“Creating these pieces was a remarkable journey,” says Creative Director Thierry Fischer. ‘We set out to create watches that feel both warm and precise – technical yet tactile. It required a true dialogue between creative vision and engineering discipline.”
The result is bold colour without compromise, brought to life through exceptional mechanical complexity. Vanguart assembles each watch from 395 components and equips it with a 60-hour power reserve, ensuring the theatrical flying tourbillon remains in motion.

Limited to just 25 pieces each, the designs balance exclusivity with everyday versatility, cementing their status as true collector’s pieces for discerning wrists looking to bring a touch of colour to their collection.
