The first bands and artists to play a series of shows at London’s Somerset House next year have been announced.

Arlo Parks, Black Midi, and Squid are leading the list of artists, which also includes the likes of Carly Rae Jepsen, Ghetts and John Legend.

Jepsen said she is “so excited” to be playing in London.

Taking place over 11 nights, the series of shows will be in the iconic open-air courtyard setting of Somerset House’s courtyard.

Kicking off the series of gigs is Tems, who has been nominated for the BBC Sound of 2022 award.

Following Tems will be Squid on July 8, before Yussef Dayes (July 9), Bomba Estéreo (July 10), Carly Rae Jepsen (July 11), Arlo Parks (July 12), Black Midi (July 13), Ghetts (July 14), SG Lewis (July 15) and John Legend (July 16).

To close the show there will be a wrap party on Jul 17th from the Places + Faces collective.

Tickets for the 2022 Somerset House gigs go on sale this Thursday (December 9) at 10am GMT, and you can buy them here.

Arlo Parks won the Mercury Prize earlier this year, for her debut album ‘Collapsed In Sunbeams’, as well as the BRIT Award for Best Newcomer.

Ghetts won his first MOBO award at the weekend for Best Male, after receiving rave reviews for his album, ‘Conflict Of Interest.’

The shows usually take place annually but were put on hold in 2020 due to the pandemic.

Somerset House last hosted these Summer Sessions concerts back in 2019, playing host to Rosalía, Doves, The Good The Bad & The Queen, and The Gossip.

It was the first show for The Gossip in six years.
