Charli XCX has shared a new song called ‘Hot Girl’, which serves as the theme song for upcoming film Bodies Bodies Bodies.

The new track follows Charli‘s recent Tiësto collaboration ‘Hot in It’ and her 2022 album Crash, which came out in March and became her first ever UK Number One.

Black comedy film Bodies Bodies Bodies will hit cinemas on 12 August, and a synopsis describes it as tracking “the night a group of rich 20-somethings plan a hurricane party at a remote family mansion.

It adds: “A party game goes awry in this fresh, funny look at backstabbing, fake friends, and one party gone very, very wrong.”

Listen to ‘Hot Girl’, which was written by Charli and produced by The 1975‘s George Daniel, below.

Since the release of the chart-topping Crash, Charli has shared an expanded edition of the record and headed out on a UK and European headline tour.

Reviewing her gig at London’s Alexandra Palace, Rolling Stone UK said: “Crash is Charli’s final major label record – but by the time Caroline Polachek appeared from the wings for ‘New Shapes’ to rapturous cheers, it was fully apparent that this tour might just mark the beginning of a huge new era for one of pop’s most innovative artists, not the end of one.

“It’s a complete breeze to imagine a world where an artist this in command could headline entire festivals, and far bigger rooms still.”

Next month (31 August), she will perform a tiny gig at Brighton’s Concorde 2 venue as part of the National Lottery and the Music Venue Trust’s Revive Live tour.

“I love playing in Brighton and I’m so happy to be going there to support Concorde 2 and bring energy and fun back into the space,” Charli said of the show.
